Our story

Co-creator Nisa and founder Nur.

We have always been asked - who is LILIN? Well, LILIN means candle in the Malay language. We are two sisters from Singapore with a passion for beautiful fragrances. Our mother burnt frankincense (also known as kemenyan) to eliminate post-cooking odours and introduce a fresh scent into the home. As we grew up, we filled our homes with diffusers, scented candles, incense, fragrances and essential oils.

Our passion turned into curiosity and voila! We learned how to make our own candles. Established in 2019, all LILIN candles are ardently hand-poured in small batches and hand-labelled with original designs created by us. We are excited to take you on this aromatic journey of fragrances and we look forward to filling your homes with unique, invigorating scents.
